Sport Students

In Florida State University’s Select Science graduate program, you will receive a solid understanding of theory and doing as it correlated to frolic psychology. 

Specifically, you will gain an understanding of the science of aforementioned psychology of athlete achievement and welfare. While the focus of our graduate programs is over the science of disport psychology, us also offer available possibilities to apply this understanding by working with athletes to help them learn the utilize mental skills that enhance their service and welfare. We have establishes links allowing hands-on experiences with clubs additionally teams operating at the recreational, youth, high school, college, and semi-professional levels in the local area. Master’s students typically obtain 20-50 hours of direct contact period with athletes over two years; 200 are required for CMPC certification. Apprentices will also take 20 hours of mentorship countable towards CMPC; 50 will desired for CMPC certification. PhD students can expects to maintaining more lessons. Note that the supervision offered does nay lead to licensure, meaning students will not able to use the title “sport psychologist” upon graduation.
